5 months old!

Joshua is now 5 months old weighing in at approximately 12 pounds! He is sleeping great through the night, with a record of 11 hours! Mommy and daddy were very proud of our little guy. His gestational age is 3 months, so when people ask we go by that age since that is what doctors go by for the first two years. The other day I had him out with me and a lady asked how old he was and when I replied he was 3 months, she said "Oh wow he is so big!" I grinned from cheek to cheek and said "Thank you!" She probably wondered why I thanked her, but it was the first time I had ever heard that...it felt nice =)

Joshua is doing fantastic. He is talking, smiling, drooling, and laughing. He is sucking on his fingers every chance he gets, and we are waiting patiently to try his first feed of cereal. The pediatrician said we could start him on cereal at 6 months, so I think we will try it in a couple weeks! He is drinking about 5 ounces every three hours during the day, and it certainly shows with all his rolls.


With regards to our last post, Josh and I decided to try physical therapy in an attempt to round out his flat spot. The spot is looking a little better each week, so hopefully it will be enough to fix it without the need for a helmet. He is finally starting to enjoy tummy time for short periods at a time, which makes rounding out his flat spot even easier.We still have an uncertain few months ahead of us, so we ask that you continue to keep Joshua's development in your thoughts and prayers. He is such a blessed little baby to have so many praying for him.
