The meaning of Joshua....

The name Joshua means:  One who walks with God; God is my salvation. That name is so fitting for our strong little boy. He has come so far in the past 8 months, weighing only 2.7 pounds when he was born and now weighing over 17 pounds! He is thriving, happy, healthy, and so loved. We are so thankful and sometimes it feels good to remind yourself how awesome God is!

Time is really flying by, its hard to believe we brought home our little Joshua from the hospital 6 months ago! Here are some pictures our wedding photographer snapped of Joshua close to his 7 month birthday. What a ham...
This picture is being blown up and soon to be hung in my room!

This Ain't My First Rodeo

We have been in Prescott, Arizona for the past week enjoying our vacation with family, including Joshua's great grandparents! We have a lot to pack up for the drive home back to Texas before tonight, so I will make this post short. The rodeo was in town this weekend in Prescott, so the town has had a lot going on. There was a street fair on Saturday with fun boutiques, clothes, food, etc. When Joshua was in the NICU, his great-grandparents came to see him, and they had not seen him since then. I was so glad they were able to spend the day with him and us.

Thursday, we drove to Sedona for the day. It has a quaint little downtown area nestled in its famous red rock mountains. We walked along the shops, had some lunch, and stopped for some pictures at the well known cathedral, Chapel of the Holy Cross, built by Frank Lloyd Wright.

On Sunday, we went to the rodeo here in town with Joshua's other great grandparents. Joshua was all ready with his cowboy boots and couldn't wait to see the bull riding, barrel racing, bronc riding, wild horse racing, steer roping, and bull dogging. It was a long night, and Joshua was worn out when we got home!

Uncle Chris and Joshua
We told Joshua that today we had to pack up all his toys because it was time to go home. He did not like the sound of that.
But I told him we would be seeing grandma and grandpa and uncle Chris soon enough. He was happy. Here's to a long night of driving and hoping Joshua stays asleep for all of it! Lots of love from Team Altman.

Happy 4th of July!

Team Altman wishes everyone a happy and safe 4th of July!
