This Ain't My First Rodeo

We have been in Prescott, Arizona for the past week enjoying our vacation with family, including Joshua's great grandparents! We have a lot to pack up for the drive home back to Texas before tonight, so I will make this post short. The rodeo was in town this weekend in Prescott, so the town has had a lot going on. There was a street fair on Saturday with fun boutiques, clothes, food, etc. When Joshua was in the NICU, his great-grandparents came to see him, and they had not seen him since then. I was so glad they were able to spend the day with him and us.

Thursday, we drove to Sedona for the day. It has a quaint little downtown area nestled in its famous red rock mountains. We walked along the shops, had some lunch, and stopped for some pictures at the well known cathedral, Chapel of the Holy Cross, built by Frank Lloyd Wright.

On Sunday, we went to the rodeo here in town with Joshua's other great grandparents. Joshua was all ready with his cowboy boots and couldn't wait to see the bull riding, barrel racing, bronc riding, wild horse racing, steer roping, and bull dogging. It was a long night, and Joshua was worn out when we got home!

We told Joshua that today we had to pack up all his toys because it was time to go home. He did not like the sound of that.
WHAT?!
But I told him we would be seeing grandma and grandpa and uncle Chris soon enough. He was happy. Here's to a long night of driving and hoping Joshua stays asleep for all of it! Lots of love from Team Altman.
