A little Christmas Cheer...

Joshua do you want to see the Christmas lights?!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends, but now that Thanksgiving is over you know what that means?! Joshua missed out on Christmas celebrations last year, so this year he wanted Christmas to start a little early at our house....to make up for lost time =)
It looks so much prettier in person...great job hubby!
Joshuas favorite...penguins!

Welcome
We went out to get a christmas tree, and it was freeeezing outside, so we pretty much picked the first one we saw and figured it was as pretty as any other. It smells so good in the house, and of course Joshua loves looking at the pretty lights.

All ready for bed in his Christmas pajamas, boy is this kid ready! Much love from Team Altman!

Its My Party and Ill Cry If I Want To...

Happy Birthday Joshua!
Joshua's first birthday party was so much fun! Mom and I got up really early to set up all the decorations at the park across the street. About an hour before the party started, we were back at the park tearing it all down before the wind tore it down for us. We quickly moved the party to our house, and everything turned out great! At 1 year old, Joshua is weighing in at 20 pounds 10 ounces and is 29 3/4 inches long.
Mom and I crafted eight of these centerpieces...thank you =)

Playing with my tooth
My mom, sister, and I spent the WHOLE day baking cupcakes and Joshua's cake for his party. The cake stand was made by daddy with love and a little help from the internet. As you can see, Joshua wanted a "sophie" themed party, so that is what he got. Mom dusted off her piping skills and worked on the details and letters..she made it look perfect!

Sophie you look delicious!
Not sure about this

Trying to get him interested
Joshua for the most part seemed to enjoy all the attention. I think he was definitely over stimulated when it was cake time, because he did not want anything to do with it. He usually has a sweet tooth for things, but he was in the mood for a nap. He seemed a little more interested when it came time to open presents.

1 Tooth....1 Year

Yesterday morning, we discovered something new....Joshua's first tooth finally arrived! Its funny to think how excited we were that it came in....and how excited he will be when he looses it =)
He would not let us get a close up picture
Last night, we went to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate Kimberly's 21st birthday and Joshua's 1st birthday. Cheesecake all around, and Joshua enjoyed it!
Happy Birthday....22 years between you!

Look Who's 1!

What a blessed day to celebrate our Joshua's first birthday. This past year has been such a reminder of how amazing God is. When we look back at his first year, we remember his major accomplishments and progression. It all began with his first cry, his first bath, his first time to cuddle with mommy, his first time to cuddle with daddy, his first pacifier, his first bottle feed, his first time breathing on his own, his first time out of the incubator, his first day home, his first full night of sleep, his first visitors, his first smile, his first time sitting up, his first solid foods, his first laugh, his first babble, his first time rolling over, his first time trying to crawl.....and now his first birthday! Whew....what a busy baby!

Couldn't get this again if we tried....Notice the fountain =)

Our hearts are forever filled with joy, and everyday we enjoy the little boy he is becoming. Thank you God for your most wonderful creations. We love you so much Joshua.
