First Halloween!

Getting ready
Happy Halloween! This day last year, I was on bed rest in the hospital, but this year we got to enjoy our first Halloween with Joshua. I have never been particularly fond of bumble bees, who is, but I don't think anyone could resist this little baby buzzing around. Joshua had fun playing in his costume and passing out candy to all the kids...we even got some great ideas for next year!

Fly away

How do I get out of here?

Puddin' anyone?

Joshua is becoming more interested in the foods we eat, and if it is sweet....he will eat it! I suppose he gets that from me, I have a sweet tooth for sure! So tonight, we were eating chocolate pudding with strawberries and I gave him a bite...let's just say it didn't stop at one bite!
This is his face he makes at the first taste of anything
More pudding please!
Joshua is getting ready for halloween! He can't wait to dress up and pass out candy to all the kiddos! He is sporting his holiday wear of course, but is really looking forward to his costume. Just a few updates...Joshua did great at physical therapy today, he is going once a week for help in catching up with his motor skills. He is ahead in some areas and really the only area he is behind in is crawling. In the last few days however, he has really been doing good. Today, he was pulling his knees under him on his tummy and was really interested in moving, he just couldn't quite figure it out. He has always been on his own schedule, so we are enjoying watching him progress and waiting patiently for that first crawl!

Yummy!
We will see everyone back here for Halloween with lots of pictures! Much love from Team Altman!

Time to go home

Me...spoiled?

It was time to say farwell to grandma and grandpa who had been visiting for a week. For some reason, when grandma is here, Joshua likes to stay up very late, so Iv had to break him of that habit...thanks mom! I guess he just gets so excited he doesn't want to go to sleep.

Love my grandma
Love my grandpa
Recently, Joshua has discovered that the ottoman is exactly the right size for him to hang on to while he stands. I think this new discovery is going to expedite the walking process. For now though, he just holds on tight and wiggles a bit.
My hands are my favorite toys
Dancing
So fun!

Walk to grandpa!
For now, that's all the pictures. I cannot wait to post halloween pictures, he is going to be a very cute little ???? Here is a hint: we have to buzz off and get dinner ready! Much love from Team Altman.

11 months...1 month to go!

Today we took a trip to the mall for some shoes! Of course before we could leave, we had to take "ducky" with us. Of all his toys, his bath time entertainment seems to be the most exciting...so where we go, ducky must follow.
Joshua are you ready?

Ducky stay in the cart

Don't drop ducky Joshua!

We think it is funny to throw ducky overboard

With this growth spurt comes the need for bigger clothes, and shoes. All the shoes Joshua has had were from my baby shower and they were newborn shoes, so I thought it was probably time to get him used to having shoes on his feet before he starts walking. He still really likes to play with his feet, and even eat his toes at times, so this should be interesting!
If the rattle is in hand, who cares what's on the feet

Like my new loafers?
After a long day, it was time to take off the shoes, put the feet up, and relax a bit. What a character =)

Ahhhhhhh

Who's the cutest pumpkin in the patch?

He found a little pumpkin amongst the big ones
Hooray for fall! We are more than happy to say farewell to summer and the triple digit temperatures we have had. In preparation for Halloween, we decided to visit the pumpkin patch. Joshua thoroughly enjoyed it and loved looking at all the pumpkins - especially the small ones he could hold.

Having fun
Joshua is almost 11 months old, next month is his first birthday party! This little boy is growing like a weed...weighing in at 21 pounds and 2 ounces. He is almost too long for 12-18 month clothes, so tomorrow mom and I are going shopping for some larger clothes. Who would have thought a 2 pound preemie who was too small for preemie clothes would be wearing 18-24 month clothes at 12 months? God is great! Grandma and Grandpa have been here all week so you know what that means......pictures!! Here are just a few of the MANY photos mom has taken this past week.
Trying on the birthday outfit Grandma brought him, hope it fits next month!
